This is a benefit to raise money for Mercy flight. All proceeds will keep them flying.

Mercy Flight is in operation 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year Helicopter transport cuts the critical rescue patient transport time by 2/3rds.

A 45 minute drive takes 15 minutes by helicopter. Mercy flights focus is on what is most beneficial for the patient regardless of their ability to pay. It is important to know that Mercy Flight is not a guaranteed  part of our community.

Since Mercy flight is a free standing community based service, it is not funded by a hospital. It has an annual 4.8 million dollar budget . Third party payees only provide part of the necessary operational funds. Additional revenue is provided by grants and foundations private and corporate donations and community events such as this.  It is, on a large part because of events such as this that Mercy Flight continues to fly and be available to our community.

Due to the recent Erie County budget cuts Mercy Flight was cut $200,000 so this year they need us more than ever. This September will mark the 26th year of operation of Mercy Flight and in that time they have flown over 14,000 patients in and around the WNY area. It is with events such as this, that Mercy Flight continues, in part to be available to our community.

With this in mind we would like you to seriously consider being a part of this event. For without you all, an event of this magnitude could not take place. 100% of the days proceeds will be donated to Mercy Flight to help keep them a part of our community and keep them flying!  It is sure to be a great time We thank you for your support in this worthwhile endeavor. Our true appreciation is measured in lives saved by Mercy Flight.

They need us more than ever!!
